The All-Party Committee on Mental Health and Addictions will hold additional public consultations in Labrador City today (Friday, June 19), and in Grand Falls-Windsor on Tuesday, June 23.

The Labrador City consultation will take place at the Two Seasons Inn, 96 Avalon Drive, and will feature one session from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The session will include both public dialogue and discussion and public presentations.

The Grand Falls-Windsor consultation will take place at the Mount Peyton Hotel, 214 Lincoln Road, and will feature two separate sessions:

  • Public presentations will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and
  • Public dialogue and discussion will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

It is recommended that all participants pre-register to indicate session(s) in which they would like to take part. At the time of registration, participants are also encouraged to disclose any special arrangements they may require to participate.

The ideas and input gathered from the regional forums will help to improve the quality of mental health programs and services in Newfoundland and Labrador.
