Media Advisory: Minister to Speak at Provincial Nursing Forum

The Honourable Steve Kent, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health and Community Services, will attend the 2015 Provincial Nursing Forum in St. John’s, June 15-16. Over 200 registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, bachelor of nursing students and practical nursing students will participate in this year’s forum at the Sheraton Hotel Newfoundland.

Minister Kent will bring greetings at the forum on Monday, June 15. The event will take place in Salon A at 8:30 a.m.

This year’s theme is Enhancing Communication: RNs and LPNs - Let’s Talk and is hosted by the Provincial Government, the Association of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador, and the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador. Highlights of the forum will include a communications workshop and education sessions on leadership, scope of practice and self-regulation.
