Media Advisory: Minister to Attend Official Naming of Upgraded Operating Suites

The Honourable Steve Kent, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health and Community Services, will participate in the official naming of two redeveloped operating suites tomorrow (Wednesday, March 4) in St. John’s. The event will take place at 4:30 p.m. at the Centre Court in the Health Sciences Centre.

The redeveloped rooms, one located at the Health Sciences Centre and the other at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, feature new technology, equipment and floor plans that allow health care professionals to deliver an enhanced level of care to patients in a safer and more efficient work environment. These enhancements are the result of a partnership between the Provincial Government, the Resource Development Trades Council and the Newfoundland and Labrador Building Trades Council.
