Media Advisory: Premier to Attend
Police and Peace Officers' Memorial Parade and Ceremony
The Honourable Paul Davis, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, will attend the annual Police and Peace Officers' Memorial Day Ceremony and Parade on Sunday, September 27. The event begins at 2:00 p.m. at the site of the Police and Peace Officers' Memorial outside East Block, Confederation Building, St. John's.
The last Sunday in September each year has been proclaimed as Newfoundland and Labrador Police and Peace Officers' Memorial Day. This special day provides residents with an opportunity to formally express appreciation for those officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice while in the line of duty.
