Media Advisory: Premier to Participate in Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Awards Ceremony

The Honourable Paul Davis, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, will address recipients and invited guests attending the presentation of Bronze Certificates of Achievement for the Duke of Edinburgh�s Award program in St. John�s today (Tuesday, June 23). The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the East Block lobby of Confederation Building.

The Duke of Edinburgh�s Award is a personal development program for young people ages 14-25 and operates in over 140 countries. Through the presentation of bronze, silver and gold awards, the program instills responsibility to community, fosters self-discipline, and promotes citizenship. The Newfoundland and Labrador Division has one of the strongest outreach programs for at-risk youth in the country.
