Media Advisory: Minister to Address International Women’s Day Dinner

The Honourable Judy Manning, Minister of Justice and Public Safety and Attorney General, and Minister Responsible for the Status of Women, will speak at the Women in Resource Development Corporation’s (WRDC’s) International Women’s Day Dinner.

The event is being held tomorrow (Wednesday, March 11) at 6:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn, 180 Portugal Cove Road, St. John’s.

Created in 1997, WRDC is a provincial non-profit organization committed to increasing women's participation in trades and technology occupations. With private and public funding, including more than $900,000 annually provided through the Department of Advanced Education and Skills, WRDC offers a variety of programs and services to address the challenges surrounding the attraction, recruitment and retention of women in these sectors.
