Improving School Infrastructure

Students of Stephenville Middle School to Benefit from Window Replacements

Stephenville Middle School will soon have new windows, following the recent awarding of a contract valued at over $591,000.

EFCO Enterprises Ltd. has been awarded the contract for window replacement upgrades on Stephenville Middle School and the project is expected to be completed by late fall. Stephenville Middle School accommodates students in Grades 6 to 8.

With this latest contract awarded more than $838,000 has been allocated for improvements for Stephenville Middle School which brings the total investment for schools in the St. George’s-Stephenville East area to $6.8 million since 2004.

To support the multi-year education infrastructure development plan, over $95 million is allocated through Budget 2015 for K-12 schools. Since 2004, 14 new schools have been opened; 11 more are in development; 27 major extensions and renovation projects have been completed, with 13 more underway and there have been 1,930 repairs and maintenance projects to schools throughout the province
