Measuring High School Student Performance

Students to Receive 2015 High School Transcripts

High school students will soon find out how they performed this school year as transcripts, including final marks, have been mailed to students throughout the province.

"We are pleased with the results from this year's public exam courses. Overall, student performance has been consistent in all courses over the past five years and I congratulate all students on their hard work and dedication to academic excellence. It is significant to note that more of our students are continuing to graduate with honours or academic diplomas as opposed to general diplomas. This year, almost 74 per cent of graduating students achieved honours or academic diplomas. This is important, as it enables our graduates to pursue a wide range of post-secondary opportunities."
- The Honourable Derrick Dalley, Acting Minister of Education

Provincial results for public exam courses can be viewed in the backgrounder below.

Supplementary examinations will be offered in August for students who wish to improve their scores. Students writing supplementary exams can access exam schedules, registration forms and learning resources designed to help them review course material at: www.ed.gov.nl.ca/edu/k12/evaluation/exams.html.
