Investing in Infrastructure to Strengthen Communities

Over $26,000 Supports Upgrades to the North West Brook Marina

The North West Brook Recreation Committee Inc. is better positioned to take advantage of the growing recreational boating market through a Provincial Government investment of over $26,000. Funding will be used to expand the facility from 40 to 70 berths by adding four floating docks, as well as modifying the existing breakwater in order to provide more protection to moored vessels.

“With this expanded infrastructure, there are now even more opportunities to attract and accommodate boaters to the North West Brook area and the entirety of Trinity Bay. This project highlights the effectiveness of community and government partnerships in advancing economic development initiatives. Our investment of over $26,000 has moved North West Brook closer to their objective of making the region a choice destination for recreational boaters. Strong communities that have a great deal to offer residents are essential to maintaining and increasing the province’s population, and our government is committed to supporting such initiatives, as outlined in our Population Growth Strategy.”
- The Honourable Darin King, Minister of Business, Tourism, Culture and Rural Development

The North West Brook marina is strategically located in Trinity Bay. Offering pristine cruising conditions and renowned for its striking coastlines, North West Brook is emerging as a destination of choice for recreational boaters.

I am proud of our government’s continued commitment to support our rural communities as they expand their infrastructure for the benefit of residents and visitors.”
