Stimulating Growth Through Investments in Regional Development

Over $215,000 Supports Economic Sustainability in the Isles of Notre Dame

Eight organizations in the Isles if Notre Dame Region are better situated to take advantage of economic and tourism development opportunities as a result of a Provincial Government investment of over $215,000. Funding will support operational sustainability and expansion for the organizations in order to improve economic viability and promote future growth.

"In order for communities to grow and thrive, they need strategic supports for their current and future needs. From understanding the important work of heritage groups, to supporting small and medium sized enterprises in their growth, our government understands the important correlation between strong regional communities and economic development and diversification. I am confident that this investment of over $215,000 will assist these organizations with their efforts to ensure sustainable development and growth in the Notre Dame Bay area. Strong communities with important services and amenities are essential to maintaining and increasing the province's population, and our government is committed to supporting such initiatives, as outlined in our Population Growth Strategy."
