Awards Celebrate Excellence in Craft

The Honourable Darin King, Minister of Business, Tourism, Culture and Rural Development, is congratulating winners of the Atlantic Canada Craft Awards of Excellence. Minister King presented awards at the ceremony, which took place Saturday, February 7, at the World Trade and Convention Centre in Halifax as part of the 38th annual Atlantic Craft Trade Show.

“I would like to extend my heart-felt congratulations to the award winners, and indeed to all participants in the trade show, and wish them continued success this year. I toured the show and the gallery on Saturday and was so impressed by the variety, quality and beauty of the work I saw. I spoke to craftspeople and heard their passion for their work and for the industry that is such an important part of life in Atlantic Canada. Our government is so proud to support the craft sector and its creative entrepreneurs.”

    • Craft Council of Newfoundland and Labrador Shop, Newfoundland and Labrador

  • Excellence in Product Design – Anointment Natural Skin Care, New Brunswick
  • Outstanding Exporter – Dorothée Rosen - Designer Goldsmith, Nova Scotia
  • Outstanding Retailer – Botinicals Gift Shop, New Brunswick
  • Industry Leader/Supporter – Donald A. Beaubier, Newfoundland and Labrador

Newfoundland and Labrador was the host province of the Atlantic Canada Craft Awards of Excellence. The Atlantic Craft Trade Show began Saturday, February 7, and concludes today (Monday, February 9).
