Public Advisory: Localized Flooding on the Trans Canada Highway

The Department of Transportation and Works is advising that, as a result of heavy rain, there is currently a significant amount of water on the Bay d’Espoir Highway, Route 360 (kilometre 55), and on the Trans Canada Highway west of Red Cliff (on Route 1 approximately four kilometres from Grand Falls-Windsor).

Motorists are asked to exercise caution and reduce speeds when travelling in these areas.

Officials from the Department of Transportation and Works are evaluating possible damage to the highway in these areas and will assess if any repairs are required.
