Road Improvements Tendered for Conception Bay East - Bell Island and Cape St. Francis

Upgrades for several roads in Conception Bay East - Bell Island and Cape St. Francis will be taking place this year as part of one of the Provincial Government’s largest Provincial Road Improvement Programs ever through Budget 2014: Shared Prosperity, Fair Society, Balanced Outlook.

- David Brazil, MHA for Conception Bay East-Bell Island

The tender will also include upgrades and repaving of approximately two kilometres of Route 20 -19, Pouch Cove Line; asphalt repairs for Route 20, Flatrock involving the levelling of asphalt for approximately 1.1 kilometres from the end of the Torbay Bay Bypass towards Pouch Cove; and guide rail repairs at nine different locations on Marine Drive in the Town of Logy Bay-Middle Cove-Outer Cove.

“These road repairs make a big difference for travellers on the roads throughout the area of Cape St. Francis; the early start to road construction is also a helpful initiative by this government.”
