Sport Newfoundland and Labrador - VolleyFest 2014: Continues to be the Largest School Based Volleyball Tournament in Canada

The Newfoundland and Labrador Volleyball Association (NLVA) will be hosting the Beresford Ltd. VolleyFest 2014, October 31-November 1 in St. John’s and vicinity.

VolleyFest will conclude three weeks of intense and great volleyball; first with VolleyWest, second with VolleyCentral, and now with the massive 165 team VolleyFest. The tournaments have been doubling in size as teams slowly get ready for VolleyFest with 45 teams at VolleyWest, 70 teams last weekend at VolleyCentral and now 165 teams for the conclusion of October Madness.

VolleyFest 2014 is the largest school-based volleyball tournament in Canada with 165 teams competing in 11 divisions. The tournament will take place on 30 courts in St. John’s and vicinity with the primary venues in the Newfoundland and Labrador Sports Centre for Junior High Divisions and the Field House for Senior High Divisions. Both venues house 5-6 courts. VolleyFest will have over 2,300 athletes, 350 coaches, 80 officials and 24 conveners throughout the event.
