Families and Communities Benefit from Enhanced Services

Service NL Expands Online Services in 2014

Newfoundlanders and Labradorians continue to benefit from expanded access to a growing number of online government services. Over the past year, Service NL has added a number of online services and formed a unique partnership with Canada Post through epost™.

“Building a stronger customer service culture and continuing to improve access to our programs and services are ongoing priorities for the Provincial Government. As part of these efforts, this past June, Service NL announced its partnership with Canada Post to offer online renewal notices for vehicle registrations and drivers’ licences, through epost™.”
- The Honourable Tony Cornect, Minister of Service NL

Service NL, in cooperation with the Office of the Comptroller General, also introduced an online option for paying fees associated with building plan reviews for Buildings Accessibility and Fire and Life Safety requirements. This provides the professional design industry and their clients with a more convenient and user-friendly method of payment, within a secure and reliable environment. This also complements the existing online service which already accepts electronic submission of these building plans.

“Through greater utilization of technology, streamlining business processes and our ongoing commitment to the single window service delivery approach, Service NL continues to improve our programs and services. I encourage everyone to visit the Service NL website and view the suite of online services available.”
- Minister Cornect

Service NL offers a number of other services online in addition to these new payment options, which provide individuals with improved and more convenient access. Some of these include online vehicle registration renewals, payments for road tests, automobile dealers web-services, ordering birth, marriage and death certificates, and the online business information service, BizPaL.
