Media Advisory: Minister to Launch Upopolis Social Network for Young Patients

The Honourable Steve Kent, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health and Community Services, will take part in the launch of Upopolis, a safe and secure online networking site designed to provide young patients in children’s hospitals and treatment centres with a place to connect online.

Minister Kent will join David Diamond, President and CEO, Eastern Health; David Thomas, Vice President, TELUS Health; and, Basile Papaevangelou, Chairman and Founder, Kids’ Health Links Foundation, for the announcement.

The event will take place tomorrow (Thursday, November 20) at the Paradise Youth Treatment Centre, 7 Mallow Drive (off Paradise Road) at 9:00 a.m.
