Today is By-Election Day
Ordinary polling for the St. George’s - Stephenville East by-election is taking place today (Tuesday, August 26). The polls are open from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
To find out where to vote, qualified electors should:
- Call the district Returning Office at 647-3432;
- Refer to their Voter Information Cards, circulated in the mail by Elections Newfoundland and Labrador;
- Check the Elections Newfoundland and Labrador website (where electors can search for their voting locations using their street names) - www.elections.gov.nl.ca; or
- Call Elections Newfoundland and Labrador toll-free at 1-877-729-7987.
There are 34 regular polls in this district. The results of the advance polls and the Special Ballot vote will be included in the preliminary election results released when the polls close at 8:00 p.m. All combined, Elections Newfoundland and Labrador will be reporting a total of 38 polls (34 regular polls, three advance polls and one Special Ballot poll).
