Today is By-Election Day in Virginia Waters
Regular polling for the Virginia Waters by-election is taking place today. The polls are open from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
To find out where to vote, electors should:
- Check the Elections Newfoundland and Labrador website (where electors can search for their voting locations using their street names) - www.elections.gov.nl.ca;
- Refer to their Voter Information Letters, circulated in the mail by Elections Newfoundland and Labrador;
- Call the district Returning Office at 753-4870; or,
- Call Elections Newfoundland and Labrador toll-free at 1-877-729-7987.
There are 35 regular polls in this district. The results of the advance polls and the Special Ballot vote will be included in the preliminary election results released when the polls close at 8:00 p.m. All combined, Elections Newfoundland and Labrador will be reporting a total of 40 polls (35 regular polls, four advance polls, and one Special Ballot poll).
