Due to continued interest from the general public, the Provincial Government will offer additional information sessions on programs, retraining options and job-search supports available to all residents of Labrador West, including workers impacted by the idling of the Cliffs Natural Resources iron ore mine in Wabush.

The sessions will take place in the Department of Advanced Education and Skills Employment Centre located in the Wabush Plaza, 4 Grenfell Drive, Wabush, as follows:

Additional staff from the Department of Advanced Education and Skills are in the region this week to meet with tradespersons, including those with questions about qualifications and certifications. Non-tradespersons impacted by the idling of Wabush Mines are also encouraged to attend this week’s information sessions or visit the Employment Centre.
