Media Advisory: Minister to Make Major Transportation Announcement

The Honourable Nick McGrath, Minister of Transportation and Works, along with David Brazil, MHA for Conception Bay East-Bell Island, will announce the awarding of a contract to build a new ferry for Bell Island on Monday, December 16, at the ferry terminal building in Portugal Cove at 2:00 p.m.

Following the news conference, Minister McGrath, MHA Brazil and officials from Damen Shipyards will depart Portugal Cove on the MV Flanders at 2:30 p.m. The contract signing is scheduled to take place at 3:30 p.m. at the Heritage Hall on Bell Island. Local residents are invited to attend.
