Public Advisory: Temporary Ferry Reassignments for Bell Island and Fogo Island-Change Islands

The Department of Transportation and Works advises that the MV Flanders will undergo repairs next week and the following temporary assignment of vessels will be made to accommodate those repairs. The Flanders is expected to be out of service for three days.

• MV Galatea to enter service on the Tickle on Monday, November 25, following the Beaumont Hamel schedule.
• MV Flanders will come off the Tickle on the evening of Monday, November 25, for repair work on dry dock.
• MV Sound of Islay will leave Fogo Island-Change Islands over this weekend (November 23 -24) to service Bell Island beginning Tuesday morning, November 26.
• MV Beaumont Hamel will service Fogo Island-Change Islands Monday, November 25, through to Saturday, December 1, operating on a modified summer schedule.
• MV Flanders will join the MV Galatea on the Bell Island service following repairs.
• On return of the MV Flanders, the MV Sound of Islay will return to Fogo Island-Change Islands to resume service.

Further updates will be provided if required. The Department of Transportation and Works appreciates the patience and cooperation of ferry users during this temporary reassignment of vessels.
