Minister Comments on Fatal Incident on the TCH

The Honourable Paul Davis, Minister of Transportation and Works, today issued the following statement regarding a fatal incident that occurred this morning on the Trans-Canada Highway (TCH), two kilometres west of Flat Bay.

"We are shocked and deeply saddened to learn of this incident involving employees of the Department of Transportation and Works. The incident took place on the TCH as crews were working in the area. Tragically, this has claimed the life of one of our valued employees. I extend sincere condolences to his family and friends and to all of our employees and their families.

“The investigation into this incident is ongoing and the department is fully cooperating with all authorities conducting investigations.”
