Public Advisory: Strait of Belle Isle Ferry Service Update

The Department of Transportation and Works advises the MV Apollo will continue to provide service between St. Barbe and Blanc Sablon in the Strait of Belle Isle until January 31, 2013.

Scheduling information for the MV Apollo can be found at;
www.tw.gov.nl.ca/ferryservices/schedules/ or by contacting Labrador Marine Inc. at 1-866-535-2567 (within the province) or 709-535-0810 (outside the toll-free area.)

The MV Sir Robert Bond is in the final stages of refit and is scheduled to begin the winter service in the Strait of Belle Isle when the MV Apollo finishes. The vessel offers two round trips per week between Blanc Sablon and Corner Brook during the winter months, providing year-round service for the Labrador Straits region.

A further update will be provided when the MV Sir Robert Bond is in place to begin the winter service.
