Province Celebrates National Sports Day
Tomorrow (Saturday, November 30) is Sports Day in Canada and Newfoundland and Labrador will be an active participant with various activities and events taking place throughout the province over the next few days.
“On National Sports Day and every day, the Provincial Government is
committed to actively encouraging participation by all Newfoundlanders and
Labradorians in physical activity, sport and recreation. Being involved in
any form of physical activity is a great way to stay in shape, have fun and
create a sense of community. I encourage all residents to check out some of
the great events that have been organized for this spirited community
initiative. There are many ways we can get active in our daily lives such as
being involved in an organized sport, or simply going for a walk.”
