Sporting Excellence Encourages Healthy Families and Communities

Jill Brewer Wins National Coach Developer Award

Jill Brewer of St. John’s, a Certified Level Four National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) diving coach, has won the Investor’s Group National Coaching Certification Program Coach Developer Award for 2013.

“This highly-acclaimed award recognizes an exceptional individual who has gone above and beyond to inspire and work to develop National Coaching Certification Program coaches in their community. I commend Ms. Brewer for her tireless dedication and commitment to diving in this province and her continued work with Coaching Newfoundland and Labrador. She continues to be a true inspiration to young athletes in our province, and I want to offer my sincerest congratulations to Ms. Brewer on receiving this prestigious honour.”

Since her coaching career began in 1982, Ms. Brewer has coached at the Canada Summer Games in 1985 and 2009. She is a learning facilitator, master learning facilitator, as well as an advanced learning facilitator and evaluator for the multi-sport National Coaching Certification Program with Coaching Newfoundland and Labrador. Currently, she is the Deputy City Manager of Community Services with the City of St. John’s.
