The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador:

Provincial Basketball Association to Hold Coaching Clinic

The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association (NLBA) will hold a Train to Train Coaching Course from November 29 to December 1 at the Newfoundland and Labrador Sports Centre in St. John’s. The course will run from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday; 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday; and, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. The course is the replacement for the former Technical 2 and includes both technical and theory components under the National Coaching Certification Program.

The course will consist of three classroom sessions and three on-court sessions. The cost for registration is $154.50 and the deadline to register is November 21. Coaches must be 16 years of age or older to be eligible to register.
