Media Advisory: Minister to Attend National Meeting of Culture and Heritage Counterparts

The Honourable Terry French, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation, will attend a federal-provincial-territorial meeting of ministers responsible for culture and heritage tomorrow (Wednesday, August 14) in Iqaluit, Nunavut.

The meeting is taking place at the Frobisher Inn in Iqaluit and will include discussions related to goverment support for encouraging the development of culture and the growth of creative industries; the importance of promoting Canada’s history; and, emerging initiatives for conserving places of historic and cultural value.
