Eastern Elite Volleyball Championships 2013

The Newfoundland and Labrador Volleyball Association will be hosting the 2013 Eastern Elite Volleyball Championships for the first time from July 26 to 28 in St. John’s. The Elite Championships are provincial teams made up of the best volleyball athletes from New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador.

There 31 teams competing in five age groups. Two venues will be in use with three courts at the MUN Field House and four courts at the NL Sports Centre. Competition will start at Friday at 3:00 p.m. at the NL Sports Centre and 4:15 p.m. at the Field House.

Eastern Elite Championships will have over 350 athletes, 65 coaches, 20 officials throughout the event. Team NL will have a record 12 teams with five-15U female teams, three-16U male teams, two-16U female teams, one-17U female team and one-18U male team.
