Mens and Ladies Provincial Basketball Championship Taking Place this Weekend

The Division 1 Clarence Sutton Memorial Men’s along with the Ladies Coors Light Provincial Championships will take place this weekend, April 18 to 21, at Laval High in Placentia.

The tournament kicks off on Thursday night at the NLSC in St. John’s and then moves to Laval on Friday. Teams entered in the men’s division include: Nova Physio, Konfusion, Pennecon, and Maverick Sports from the St. Johns league, Grand Falls-Windsor, and the Jr. Seahawks. The ladies championship will feature four teams from the St. John’s league including: Kennedys, Bay Ladies, Plaza Scion and the Ladies Canada Games Program.

Play will commence Thursday evening and will conclude with the finals on Sunday morning and afternoon. For a complete list of all teams and schedules please visit the NLBA website at www.nlba.nf.ca or contact the provincial office at 576-0247.
