Provincial Basketball Championships Being Hosted This Weekend

The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association will be hosting 20 teams this weekend March 22 – 24 in three provincial competitions throughout the province. The East Coast Grade 8 A Girls Provincials will feature six teams at Beaconsfield Junior High in St. John’s while the B division has seven teams vying for the championship at Laval High School, Placentia.

On the west coast, Lewisporte Intermediate will host seven teams in the Grade 8 Girls’ championship. Play gets underway on Friday afternoon and will conclude with the championship games Saturday evening or Sunday morning.
