Media Advisory: Minister to Attend Demonstration of
Commercial Vehicle Inspection

The Honourable Nick McGrath, Minister of Service NL, will attend a demonstration of a commercial vehicle inspection tomorrow (Thursday, July 4) at 9:30 a.m. at the Foxtrap Weigh Scales.

In keeping with Newfoundland and Labrador’s commitment to highway safety, Highway Enforcement Officers and Weigh Scale Inspectors conduct commercial vehicle inspections province-wide. In accordance with uniformly applied North American inspection standards, enforcement personnel will be checking for proper driver certification, mechanical fitness of commercial vehicles and compliance with the Highway Traffic Act and Regulations.
