Public Advisory: Consumer Affairs Division and
Engineering and Inspection Services Division Offices Relocating

Two divisions of Service NL, the Consumer Affairs Division and the Engineering and Inspection Services Division, located in the Government Service Centre at 5 Mews Place, St. John’s, will be moving to the Motor Registration Building at 149 Smallwood Drive in Mount Pearl effective Tuesday, January 22.

As a result, both divisions will be closed for business on Monday, January 21.

The Consumer Affairs Division includes:

• Residential tenancies;
• Charitable gaming;
• Consumer protection;
• Private investigators and security services;
• Direct sellers; and,
• Collection agencies.

The Engineering and Inspection Services Division includes:

• Licensing, permitting, inspections and registration of amusement rides and elevating devices;
• Licensing, permitting, inspections and registration of boilers and pressure vessels; and,
• Building plan reviews for accessibility and fire and life safety.
