Public Advisory: Placentia Residents Asked to Refrain from Feeding Foxes

The Department of Natural Resources is encouraging residents to avoid feeding wild animals.

The department has received reports of increased fox sightings in Placentia, as well as reports of people feeding these animals. The department advises that feeding these animals may keep them near areas frequented by residents. Feeding wild animals is dangerous as these animals can be unpredictable when approached by humans.

Anyone seeing a fox in the Town of Placentia should call the District Forestry Office at 709-729-4180.
