Media Advisory: Ministers to Outline Amendments to Offshore Occupational Health and Safety Legislation
The Honourable Tom Marshall, Minister of Natural Resources, and the Honourable Nick McGrath, Minister of Service NL and Minister Responsible for the Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Commission, will hold a news conference tomorrow (Thursday, May 2) to discuss proposed amendments to offshore occupational health and safety legislation.Prior to the news conference, officials from the Department of Natural Resources and Service NL will be available for a technical briefing with members of the media at 11:30 a.m.
The briefing will take place in the Media Centre, Ground Floor, East Block, Confederation Building, with the news conference to follow at 12:30 p.m.
Media outside of St. John’s can listen to the news conference through teleconference. Media are asked to register for the teleconference by 10:00 a.m. tomorrow (Thursday, May 2) by contacting Tina Williams, Natural Resources, at 709-729-5777 or by email tinawilliams@gov.nl.ca.
