Media Advisory: Minister to Attend Peace Officers’ Memorial Service

The Honourable Darin King, Minister of Justice, will participate in the International Peace Officers’ Memorial Day Service being held tomorrow (Wednesday, May 15) at 11:00 a.m. The service is taking place at the St. John’s Seventh Day Adventist Church, 30 Aldershot Street.

The annual event is held during National Police Week and is in memory of the 19 peace officers who have been killed in the line of duty since 1861 in Newfoundland and Labrador.
