Media Advisory: Minister to Help Officially Launch National Police Week

The Honourable Darin King, Minister of Justice, will participate in a cake-cutting ceremony as part of the official opening of National Police Week 2013. The event takes place on Monday, May 13, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Junior High, 7 Rickett’s Road, St. John’s.

Minister King will be accompanied by RCMP Assistant Commissioner Tracy Hardy and RNC Deputy Chief William Janes.

National Police Week 2013 runs from May 12 to 18 and is dedicated to increasing community awareness and recognition of policing services while strengthening police-community ties.
