Strengthening the Economy through Strategic Investments
Investment of $36,000 Supports Skills Development and Planning Initiatives
In support of initiatives that provide training and development opportunities for non-profit organizations, seven Newfoundland and Labrador groups will receive funding totalling $36,000. Funding will support community-based organizations to attend industry-specific planning sessions that will enhance employee and volunteer skill-sets through new training and skill development.
“Community and volunteer-based organizations are essential to sustaining
and growing Newfoundland and Labrador’s economy, especially in rural areas.
It is important that we invest in a range of industries and organizations
which are working throughout the province to grow the local economy. This
$36,000 investment supports development initiatives by providing
organizations with the resources they need to grow and take advantage of
opportunities and resources.”
