Media Advisory: Minister to Announce Investment in T’Railway System

The Honourable Charlene Johnson, Minister of Innovation, Business and Rural Development, will announce funding for the Conception Bay South T’Railway Project tomorrow (Thursday, October 24) at 2:00 p.m. The announcement will be held at the Conception Bay South Town Council Office.

Minister Johnson will be joined by the Honourable Terry French, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation and MHA for Conception Bay South, the Honourable Paul Davis, Minister of Child, Youth and Family Services and MHA for Topsail, Tom Hedderson, Parliamentary Assistant to the Premier and MHA for Harbour Main, as well as representatives from the town. The council office is located at 106, Conception Bay Highway.

The T’Railway Project is working to transform the old railway system in Conception Bay South into an accessible, non-motorized, pedestrian and cyclist system that integrates linkages between community trails, local business, cultural centres and recreational facilities.
