Media Advisory: Parliamentary Secretary to Participate in Student Research Awards Reception

Steve Kent, Parliamentary Secretary to the Honourable Keith Hutchings, Minister Responsible for the Research & Development Corporation (RDC), will participate in a reception recognizing recipients of the RDC Ocean Industries Student Research Awards, tomorrow (Wednesday, October 9). Mr. Kent will be joined by Glenn Janes, Chief Executive Officer, RDC, and Dr. Gary Kachanoski, President and Vice-chancellor of Memorial University.

The reception will take place at 5:00 p.m. in the Atrium of the Bruneau Centre at Memorial University.

The Research & Development Corporation is a provincial Crown corporation responsible for improving Newfoundland and Labrador’s R&D performance. RDC works with R&D stakeholders including business, academia and government agencies and departments to make strategic research and development related investments in people, research opportunities and infrastructure.
