Media Advisory: Parliamentary Secretary to Participate in the Official
Opening of the Daffodil Place Healing Garden

Sandy Collins, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Health and Community Services, will participate in the official ribbon cutting of the new Healing Garden at Daffodil Place, 70 Ropewalk Lane, tomorrow (Wednesday, July 3) at 10:30 a.m.

The Healing Garden will be enclosed by a privacy fence and will offer quiet sitting areas for guests of Daffodil Place and their families. The garden will include walkways, a waterfall, gazebo, and greenery.

Daffodil Place is a 24-room facility operated by the Canadian Cancer Society Newfoundland and Labrador Division. It is a home away from home for cancer patients and caregivers who must travel to St. John’s from other parts of the province for cancer treatment.
