Media Advisory: Minister to Highlight Budget 2013 Contribution to Fisheries Science and Research Initiatives

The Honourable Derrick Dalley, Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, will highlight funding for fisheries science and research initiatives included in Budget 2013: A Sound Plan, A Secure Future. The event will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 15, at the Fisheries and Marine Institute, Memorial University, Ridge Road campus, St. John’s

Following the announcement, guests and members of the media will be invited to participate in a tour at the Centre for Fisheries Ecosystems Research. Officials and students from the centre will provide an update on the cod survey completed aboard the RV Celtic Explorer in 2012.
