Media Advisory: Premier to Launch Exploring the Possibilities
The Honourable Kathy Dunderdale, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, will address students, female journeypersons and apprentices, and industry leaders tomorrow (Thursday, April 18) at Exploring the Possibilities, the first-ever skilled trades conference for women and youth in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Premier Dunderdale will open the conference with welcoming remarks
beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Glacier in Mount Pearl.
Hosted by the Office to Advance Women Apprentices, the Exploring the
Possibilities conference will take place from April 18-19 and will feature a
hands-on interactive Trades Expo to help women and youth explore the
possibility of careers in the skilled trades, as well as guest speakers and
panelists who will highlight advancements and opportunities in skilled
trades.
