Media Advisory: Minister to Announce Curbside Composting Pilot Extension

The Honourable Tom Hedderson, Minister of Environment and Conservation and Minister Responsible for the Multi-Materials Stewardship Board (MMSB), along with Mike Samson, Chief Executive Officer of MMSB, will announce the expansion of the Burin Peninsula Curbside Composting pilot program tomorrow (Friday, May 17).

Minister Hedderson will be joined by the Honourable Clyde Jackman, Minister of Education and MHA for Burin-Placentia West.

The event will take place at 11:00 a.m. at the town hall in Grand Bank. A tour of the composting site at the Fortune-Grand Bank landfill will take place at 12:00 p.m.

Personal protective equipment is required for the site tour including CSA approved safety boots and a reflective vest.
