Environmental Assessment Bulletin

The Honourable Tom Hedderson, Minister of Environment and Conservation, has announced the following events relative to Part 10 Environmental Assessment of the Environmental Protection Act.

ENVIRONMENTAL PREVIEW REPORT REQUIRED:

Forteau Wharf and Lay Down Area                                                                        (Reg. 1669)
Proponent: Bay Bulls Properties Ltd.

The minister has advised the proponent that an Environmental Preview Report (EPR) is required for this project. The EPR is necessary to address project design alternatives for the location of the wharf, laydown and rock storage area, describe effects on Pioneer Footpath Trail and historic resources including mitigation details. Also, the EPR will include the quarry in above as part of the scope of the entire project. The public will be invited to provide comments on the EPR upon its submission.
