Infrastructure Upgrades Build Strong School Communities
Over $323,000 Earmarked for Roofing at École Sainte-Anne
Whalen Enterprises Ltd. of Stephenville has been awarded a tender valued at more than $323,000 for roofing upgrades at École Sainte-Anne in La Grand’Terre (Mainland).
“With this latest tender award, more than $461,000 has been allocated for
work at École Sainte-Anne in recent years, including ventilation upgrades
and other interior work. This is another example of the Provincial
Government’s commitment to investing in existing infrastructure to ensure
our school environments are safe and comfortable for students and staff.”

École Sainte-Anne, which is operated by the Francophone school board (Conseil scolaire francophone provincial), serves about 85 students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. The work is expected to be completed by early in the new year.

Budget 2013: A Sound Plan, A Secure Future provides almost $102 million for new and ongoing school infrastructure projects, including $21.4 million for repairs and maintenance.
