Media Advisory: Minister to Attend National Meeting of Education Counterparts

The Honourable Clyde Jackman, Minister of Education, will join provincial and territorial education ministers from across Canada for the 101st meeting of the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada (CMEC) meetings in Iqaluit, Nunavut, this week, July 4 and 5.

The ministers will discuss key issues facing education, including early childhood learning and development, ensuring Aboriginal student success and improving education outcomes.

CMEC is an intergovernmental body composed of ministers responsible for elementary, secondary and advanced education from the provinces and territories. Through CMEC, ministers share information and undertake projects in areas of mutual interest.
