Media Advisory: Ministers to Attend Labrador Aboriginal Training Partnership Celebration in Happy Valley-Goose Bay

The Honourable Kevin O’Brien, Minister of Advanced Education and Skills, will be joined by the Honourable Nick McGrath, Minister Responsible for Labrador and Aboriginal Affairs, to celebrate the success of the Labrador Aboriginal Training Partnership tomorrow (Friday, December 13).

The ministers will be joined by Keith Russell, MHA for Lake Melville, Keith Jacque, Executive Director, Labrador Aboriginal Training Partnership, representatives from Innu Nation, Nunatsiavut Government, NunatuKavut Community Council, and Nalcor Energy.

The event will take place at 10:30 a.m. (AST) at the Lawrence O’Brien Arts Centre, 15-21 Voisey Drive in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.

Created in 2009, the Labrador Aboriginal Training Partnership offers training, certification and job placement support to Aboriginal men, women and youth to maximize participation in the Lower Churchill Project and other resource projects taking place in Newfoundland and Labrador.
