Terms of Reference Released for Independent Reports on Muskrat Falls

The Honourable Jerome Kennedy, Minister of Natural Resources, released today the terms of reference for reports completed on the proposed Muskrat Falls hydroelectric project.

Terms of reference were released on the following reports:

• Review of the Muskrat Falls and Labrador Island HVdc Link and the Isolated Island Options – Manitoba Hydro International;
• Review of Wind Study for the Isolated Island Option - Manitoba Hydro International;
• Natural Gas as an Island Power Generation Option - Ziff Energy;
• Economic Impact Analysis of Iron Ore Mining Industry in Labrador 2011-31 - Dr Wade Locke; and,
• Forecast Methodology and Assessment of Future Oil Price Trends - PIRA Energy Group.
