Federal Loan Guarantee Agreement Released

The Honourable Jerome Kennedy, Minister of Natural Resources, released today the federal loan guarantee agreement for the proposed Muskrat Falls Project.

Terms for the federal loan guarantee for the Muskrat Falls hydroelectric project with the Government of Canada and the Governments of Newfoundland and Labrador and Nova Scotia was announced on November 30, 2012. The loan guarantee will guarantee project debt to help proponents finance the Muskrat Falls Hydroelectric Generation Station, and three transmission projects (Labrador Transmission Interconnection, Labrador Island Transmission Link and the Maritime Transmission Link).
