Media Advisory: News Conference to Announce Release of Muskrat Falls
Decision Gate 3 Numbers and Manitoba Hydro International Analysis
The Honourable Kathy Dunderdale, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, will hold a news conference tomorrow (Tuesday, October 30) to release the Decision Gate 3 cost estimate for the proposed Muskrat Falls project, and Manitoba Hydro International Limited’s (MHI) analysis of the project. Premier Dunderdale will be joined by the Honourable Jerome Kennedy, Minister of Natural Resources, the Honourable Tom Marshall, Minister of Finance, and Ed Martin, President and Chief Executive Officer of Nalcor Energy. The announcement will take place at the Sheraton Hotel, Salon A, at 1:30 p.m.
Media will be provided with a technical briefing prior to the news conference. The agenda is as follows:
- 11:00 a.m. Media briefing
- 1:30 p.m. News conference
Upon entering the technical briefing, members of the media must remain in the room until the news conference begins. Media representatives are reminded that wireless communications devices such as mobile phones and BlackBerrys are not permitted in the briefing area. Those in the briefing will also be required to disable built-in wireless devices on their portable computers.
